Sting

As my next wide reading book, I chose to read Sting by Jude Watson. I chose this book because I am actually quite a fan of heist books and books about criminal masterminds! Sting is a fictional heist novel about 4 teens who have taken up a life of crime. The main characters,

Sting is a fictional heist novel about 4 teens who have taken up a life of crime. The main characters, March and Jewels, are the kids of a world-renowned jewel thief. Their two friends, Darius and Izzy, help them. On one of their break-ins, they run into the TopCats; a European crime network/gang that focuses on stealing rare stones and artifacts. Both the kids and the TopCats are trying to find a trio of stones that, when together, are worth a lot of money. Who gets the stones? Do March and his friends survive? Read the book to find out.

My favorite character in the book was Darius. He is a nice smart black boy who pretty much makes sure the plan doesn’t go south. I would want to meet him because it would be super to learn about what it’s like in the business of a criminal.

I loved this book. All the action and story really made it a good read. I would definitely recommend reading this book. Especially to people who like books about criminals. A similar book to Sting is 39 Clues by Rick Riordan. It is another action packed book/series about two teens.

I think the main idea of this book is to always have faith that it will be fine in the end.
